A New Day

When you are through changing, you are through.  ~Bruce Barton

July 9th.

I’ve officially been writing this blog for a little over 5 months which, in turn, has lead to 127 posts (if you count today) and, as of yesterday, over 6,000 views. Who knew?

Now I think it’s time to spice things up a little bit.

Those first months were my “figure-it-out” period, hence the er….”basic” photography, the somewhat lengthy paragraphs without breaks…ah, hello learning curve. We all have to start somewhere, right?

So, today…July 9th. I’m freshening up Daily Frosting. The other frosting as been licked to death and is now getting a little stale. We need a new coating of sprinkles and a big dollop of buttercream. I hope that you like the Frosting in it’s new wrapper (I just beat that cupcake analogy to death, didn’t I? *giggle* I wanted to see where I could take it).

The content will continue on as usual…musings, recipes, good finds.  If you have any suggestions, please feel free to speak up. There will be some new photography courtesy of two wonderful women that I have the pleasure of knowing. I just know that their gorgeous photos will further capture and enhance the soul of the Daily Frosting.

So keep reading and commenting…it’s nice being here with you. I hope you enjoy the little changes!

  1. I love the blog, it really makes my day to read your intelligent, fun and thought-provoking words and thoughts.

Got a good, healthy cupcake recipe for my kiddo’s 2nd birthday? Something healthy that a bunch of little mopheads, uh, 2-year olds in nursery school will like, yet a treat that a bunch of old fogeys like me and my family will enjoy too. Got any thoughts?

    1. Firstly, thank YOU for the kind words and I’m glad you are enjoying DF! As for the cupcakes, any allergies to consider (always a good place to start)? Let me scout through my recipes and see what I can find…I’ll come up with some for you by tomorrow!

    2. April…I found a few recipes that I think could work. Let me know which sounds good to use and then I’ll post it (oodles of time to type out 3!)….Snickerdoodle Cupcakes, Chocolate-Vanilla Marble cupcakes or Blueberry Cupcakes with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting….yummmmmm (the last one is more muffinish, but since blueberries are in season it’s good and the frosting takes it over the edge)

      1. Good morning! Your recipe is up! I apologize for not posting last night….I wrote it last night and then, apparently, went on auto-pilot…I always post first thing in the morning, so I forgot to hit publish last night! So sorry for that….so, here is is…I hope you enjoy them! Send a pic if you can 🙂
