In the past two weeks, we have had Halloween, a Hurricane (more frightful), power outages, gas shortages, there were trees toppled, roads and homes flooded, no school, delays and early dismissals, a Presidential election and…a snowstorm.
But it’s the weekend…storms and elections have blown over and things can start to return to normal. For some families, however, this will be a long journey and my heart just aches for them. Grateful has taken on a whole new meaning in the past few weeks.
Two quotes jumped into my path that seem apropos…
“I am not afraid fo storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.”-Louisa May Alcott
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”-Confucius
Good words for the end of the week, no?
I’ll see you next week…Thanksgiving is right around the corner. We all have much to be thankful for. Recipes to sweeten your holiday will abound!
