Wrap it up.
Put a bow on it.
Goodbye 2013. You’ve been a good year, although somewhat tiring and frustrating at parts. Overall, not a bad vintage though. You did not wear out your welcome but it is time to bid a fond farewell to you.
I will be writing a list of the things that didn’t work out for me this year…disappointments, failures, hopes that just went South and I will then proceed to roll that paper up into a tight little ball and promptly throw it into our fireplace. Negatives be gone. I’d like to make room for all the good to come sweeping in.
There’s lots of good out there and lots of successes to be had. We just have to create space for them. The negative ideas, things and people just don’t have a place here and the end of the year is as good a time as any to sweep them under the rug.
Crack out the bubbly, torch that list from 2013, make abrand new one for 2014 and start toasting.
Happy 2014…may the sparkles be countless!
